Human rights activist and convener of the RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore, has been taken to Abuja by the Department of State Services (DSS).
Concise News reports that Sowore was picked up at his apartment in the early hours of Saturday by the Department of State Services (DSS).
According to reports, his arrest was linked to the #RevolutionNow – a series of planned protests against bad governance in Nigeria.
The AAC presidential candidate posted a distress tweet at exactly 1:25 am today with an eyewitness claiming that his phone was forcefully taken from him.
However, sources at the DSS said Sowore, who has been held incommunicado since Saturday when he was arrested and detained, is in a high-security detention facility of the service in Abuja.
More to come…
