The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has condemned the abduction of five members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), who were on their way to attend the church’s Ministers’ Conference in Lagos on Thursday.
He also decried the murder of Catholic Parish Priest of St. James, the Greater Parish, Ugbawka, in Enugu State, Rev FR Paul Offu.
Concise News reported that the Ogun State Police Command on Friday revealed that it has geographically located the forest where five kidnapped RCCG members.
Adeboye, while charging the congregation to pray for the release of the abductees, said the abduction took place on Thursday along the Ijebu-Ode axis.
The police said its rescue team are trying to be tactical and professional in storming the location in order not to jeopardise safety of the victims.
Also, the Catholic Parish Priest of St. James, the Greater Parish, Ugbawka, in Enugu State, Rev Fr. Paul Offu was reportedly shot dead by unknown herdsmen on Thursday evening.
Reacting, Apostle Suleiman expresses sadness and disbelief over the recent development.
The fiery cleric called on God to ‘frustrate the agenda of the wicked men in Nigeria’ over recent abduction.
Apostle Suleman, who reacted via his verified Twitter handle wrote: “Just got into the country and hearing strange news of 5 RCCG pastors kidnapped, Catholic priest killed, soldiers buried secretly?
“Are these true? I don’t want to believe it.
“Father in the name of Jesus, we ask you release all those in hands of captors after the order of Acts 12.frustrate the agenda of wicked men in Nigeria. (Isaiah 7v7,isaiah 8v10,psalms 68v1).
“Let ceaseless flow of blood come to an end in Jesus name.”
