Fayez Mustafa Begs Buhari To Help Restore Peace In Libya

Fayez Mustafa al-Sarraj, the Prime Minister of Libya, has begged the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, to use his position in restoring peace in his country.

This became known after After a letter of credence was given to Buhari by the Ambassador of Libya, Ayad Musbah Faraj Attayary.

He also hailed President Buhari for maintaining Nigeria’s leadership role in Africa, through its intervention activities.

In his response, the president in a statement by his special adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, maintained that a peaceful Libya is for the good of the whole of Africa.

He said, “The early restoration of peace and stability in the country will greatly minimise the current state of insecurity experienced in some parts of Africa.

“Our efforts should be directed towards the restoration of peace. It is expedient that peace and stability return to Libya as soon as possible; peace in Libya will translate to economic prosperity and development as well as a more secure Africa,” he said.
