The Super Eagles have thanked business mogul Femi Otedola for redeeming the pledge he made to the team at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Otedola had promised the side $25,000 for each goal scored before their semifinal clash against the Desert Foxes of Algeria.

Kenneth Omeruo was the one who represented team during the presentation of the money.

Also, the President of Dangote Group Aliko Dangote, pledged $50,000 for each goal scored by the team in the encounter.

Nigeria lost 2-1 to the Algerians who eventually won the competition, beating Senegal.

They, however, beat Tunisia 1-0, to claim the bronze medal.
