The Governor of Borna state, Babagana Umara, has said Boko Haram may not end anytime soon the terrorist have developed in their strategy of war.
The Governor said this at the Government House, in Maiduguri on Tuesday while speaking to the House of Representative Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other National Assembly members on the security situation in the state.
According to him, the sect have begun to use drones in their fight against the military, thereby, monitoring their operations in Sambisa Forest and the Lake Chad region.
“This Boko Haram war may not end soon because the terrorists now deploy drones in their operations,” he said.
Umara noted the technological warfare deployed by the insurgents are way more advanced than those wielded by the military.
“Without adopting proper and up-to-date technological warfare edge over Boko Haram, this war will never end,” he warned.
