Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has debunked reports that he will be given $1m by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Concise News reports.
Rohr qualified and led Nigeria to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt where the team finished third.
Since the end of the competition, there have been reports that he would leave the team with the NFF paying him the said sum of money.
However, Rohr admitted that the NFF can sack him, saying his buy out clause is below $1m.
”I was shocked when I read that the NFF can’t part ways with me if they are no longer satisfied with my services because of the $1m buy out clause in my contract which is not true,” he said.
“The NFF has the right to ask me to go and I have the right to say am done with the Super Eagles job.”
