Biafra Groups Divided Over Proscription Of IMN

The Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) on Tuesday lambasted pro-Biafra groups frowning at the proscription of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), whose members are called Shiites. The Nigerian government had last week obtained a court order to proscribe the IMN. The Justice Nkeonye Maha-led court designated the activities of the IMN organization in any part of Nigeria “as acts of terrorism and illegality.” Some pro-Biafra groups condemned the order. Biafra: IPOB’s Nnamdi Kanu Establishes Aid Foundation in US

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu on Monday announced the establishment of Biafra Aid Foundation in the United States of America (USA), Concise News reports. Mazi Kanu in a statement he personally signed, but made available by IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said the establishment of the foundation is in fulfilment of the promise he made during his recent tour of the United States of America. He said the foundation will enable IPOB to fast-track the restoration of Biafra and stem the tide of Fulani terror invasion of Biafra land. “During my recently concluded tour of the United States, I promised to set up a US based charitable organisation to enable us fast-track the restoration of Biafra and stem the tide of Fulani terror invasion of our land. “I am pleased to announce the establishment of Biafra Aid Foundation in the United States of America which I made public during last night’s special broadcast.” Read more here.

CP Applauds Residents For Defying Sit-At-Home Order Of Pro-Biafra Group

The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Sulaiman Balarabe, on Tuesday applauded residents of the state for defying the sit-at-home order of the Biafra Zionist Federation (BZF), Concise News reports. According to him, in Enugu metropolis, residents went about their usual ,daily activities with human and commercial activities at their peak. The leader of BZF group, Benjamin Onwuka, had earlier ordered for a sit-at-home in the state, threatening to declare himself the president of Biafra in Enugu on Tuesday. Balarabe said the police and other security agencies, however, foiled the proposed declaration and planned disruption of human and commercial activities as well as the peace of the state.
