Former Minister of Information and Culture has said the “bad boys” call him “Liar Mohammed,” Concise News reports.
Mohammed said this on Tuesday at the National Assembly, Abuja, during his ministerial screening by lawmakers.
According to him, his 7-year-old grandchild once asked him why he was called “Liar Mohammed” and he told him that it is the “bad boys” that do so and not the good men.
“My name as it appears on my CV is correct — Lai Mohammed,” he told the lawmakers.
He then appealed to them, saying, “Please, don’t believe what they call me on social media. They call me all sorts of names.
“I used to ignore it until my seven-year-old grandson asked me, ‘Why do they call you Liar Mohammed?’
“I told him, ‘Don’t mind them. They are the bad guys.’”
The ministerial screening ended on Tuesday and the nominees confirmed by the lawmakers.
President Muhammadu Buhari had last week submitted the ministerial list to the lawmakers, omitting some expected names.
