Biafra Group Reveals Why Buhari Govt Is Yet To Proscribe Shiites, Killer Herdsmen

The Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s government’s refusal to brand the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) and killer herdsmen as terrorist groups is “due to powers backing them at the centre”, Concise News reports. The group says government and security agencies’ stance not to act like they did to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is because, in Nigeria, fairness is lacking. Addressing newsmen in Calabar, the capital city of Cross River State, Chief Press Secretary of BNYL, Comrade Kufre Obot says: “Where is the former Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, can he now different between peaceful protest and violent protest? “Where are the Southeast Governors, have they gone to sleep over this issue?” Furthermore, Obot states that the Fulani herdsmen who also ought to have been treated as terrorists “were allowed to move freely with guns in the society due to powers backing them at the centre”.
