Ohanaeze Ndigbo has warned President Muhammadu Buhari against placing round pegs in square holes when allocating offices to screened ministerial nominees.
Concise News gathered that the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Chuks Ibegbu, made the group’s position known in an interview with newsmen in Umuahia, Abia State, on Friday.
Ibeghu noted that some of the nominees were not known to have impressed in the past, expressing hope that they may do so this time around.
On security challenges, Ibegbu cautioned against turning the Shiites group into another Boko Haram, calling on the federal government to obey court orders and release El-Zakzaky.
At the same time, Ohanaeze warned against allowing extremist countries to interfere in the internal affairs of “our secular nation(Nigeria). We must not allow Iran, Iraq or Saudi Arabia to come here and mess us.”
