The Governor of Oyo State Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday, sent his long-awaited list of commissioners to the State House of Assembly.
The list which was directly handed over to the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin is made up of the names of 14 commissioner nominees.
The list comprises a female and 13 males among which is the director-general of the Seyi Makinde Campaign organisation, Bayo Lawal.
However, Concise News learned that the names may not be reeled out by the Speaker of the Assembly at Thursday’s plenary as expected.
The reason for the wait could be for the need to reconstitute some existing ministries and begin legislative processes to back up the newly created ministries with enabling laws.
Existing ministries like Trade, Investment and Cooperatives will be reconstituted.
The immediate past government of Governor Abiola Ajimobi had worked with 15 commissioners after reconstituting and creating the Ministry of Environment, Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
