Concise News reports that the left-back joined from Katsina United in the summer of 2017, and last season made 19 appearances for the Peoples Elephant – eleven of them starts.
Prior to his six years in Katsina United, he represented Katsina Spotlights FC, then moved to Kwara United before returning to Katsina again to play for Katsina United where he later captained the club.
Nasiru is a vastly experienced player having skippered Katsina United for two years and accrued more than 130 professional matches.
However, his time at Enyimba was hindered by a niggling foot injury sustained in pre-season.
This year though, he overcame the injury and made his mark as Enyimba won the league.
A fans’ favourite, the stopper leaves having made a great impression during his stint with the reigning NPFL champions.
Nasiru’s final Enyimba appearance was against Lobi Stars in the Aba-based club’s penultimate game of the season, where he played 90 minutes.
Coach Usman speaks on Nasiru’s departure
Reacting to the player’s exit, Enyimba Coach Usman Abd’Allah says: “Nasiru never really got started with us after suffering an injury in pre-season, which made it hard for him to get in the team on a regular basis last season, but this past season he played very well as he wants and also delivered results.
“He’s made a telling impact on the Enyimba fans/community, throughout the club – the amount of compliments I’ve received, from the media team, the Enyimba Feeders department, through to the men at the gate of our stadium.
“They’ve all said what a wonderful role model he is for the Feeders team department.
“He’s an advocate of a lot of positive news stories and I wish him all the best with his next career move. He’ll be a huge success.”
