Kogi: Why Gov. Bello Can’t Pay Full Salary- Aide To Protesting Staff

The Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Kogi State, Abubakar Ohere, has declined the reports that the Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) gives additional money to Local Governments in the State.

Concise News learned that the Special Adviser disclosed that the protests by some local government workers in some council areas of the state demanding for full payments of salary was politically motivated.

Ohere revealed that the NFIU does not know the staff strength of each local government areas in the state.

Kogi APC Vice Chairman Dies

The Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Honourable Ropo Asala, has died at the age of 54.

Concise News reports that the APC in a statement issued in Lokoja on Sunday said that Asala died at his Egbe hometown in Yagba West Local Government in the evening of July 13.

According to the statement, the death of Asala came as a rude shock and a tragedy to the party. The party also promised to stand by his immediate family members in this trying period and beyond. Read more here.
