Solskjaer Speaks On Lukaku’s Future At United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Saturday said Romelu Lukaku was “not useful” to the team as they defeated Perth Glory 2-0 in a pre-season friendly without the player.

Concise News learned that the Belgium international did not feature throughout the game as United strolled to victory in Australia.

Earlier this week, Inter Milan confirmed they were in talks to sign the 26-year-old, who has lost the manager’s favour to Marcus Rashford.

Asked whether Lukaku would be a Red Devils player next season, Solskjaer refused to disclose the next line of action.

“Let’s see when the season starts,” Solskjaer told reporters after the game.

“We’ve not had any bids that we’re considering. All my conversations with the players I will keep confidential. That’s between us – that’s my privilege.

“There’s been so much speculation but yes he should be fit for Wednesday. He trained with the team yesterday but he was not useful today.”

Nigerian Star Joins Premier League Club

Nigerian defender Jamal Balogun has joined English Premier League club Watford, according to a statement by the club on Saturday.

Balogun sealed a one-year contract with the EPL side from Reading.

“Jamal Balogun, Sam Dalby, Cameron Green, Joseph Hungbo and Henry Wise will all be part of the Hornets’ development squad during the 2019/20 season,” the club said.

However, United want to recoup the £75m they paid Everton for the Belgian star who was not part of the Red Devils pre-season campaign with a 2-0 win in Perth.

When asked about his future and if a decision has been made, he said: “You guys will know something next week.”

Italian side Inter made a formal bid to United for Lukaku last week, with sporting director Piero Ausilio flying into London.

Transfer: Man United Legends Speak On Difficulty For Man City

Manchester United legends Bryan Robson and Denis Irwin are concerned about the exit of Vincent Kompany from Manchester City.

Concise News learned that the Premier League legends disclosed that the Belgian’s farewell was a huge loss for the champions.

“There’s always a chance of catching a team that’s just won the league,” Robson told Goal.

“It depends on City with how they replace Kompany because he’ll be a big miss for them, he was a real leader in the dressing room. It also depends on how you start the season, if you start it off really well you can be confident.

“City have definitely got the ability to go win the league again but they’re definitely catchable as well.”
