Chukwu Arrives Nigeria After Medical Treatment In London

Former Super Eagles captain and coach Christian Chukwu has returned to Nigeria after undergoing medical treatment in London, the United Kingdom.

Concise News recalls that Chukwu had been in London where had gone for medical treatment for prostate cancer and had been treated in Enugu state, southeast Nigeria.

Recall that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) along with Delta State politician Ned Nwoko as well as business tycoon Femi Otedola had made donations to the ailing Nigerian football icon.

Chukwu was sighted in the company of his wife, Lilian; Sister, Mrs. Edith Motaya; representative of Femi Otedola, Philip Akinnola and daughter of Chukwu’s daughter Adaora Ndibe.

Concise News learned that the picture was taken after Chukwu arrived Lagos after his medical trip.

Chukwu also captained the Enugu Rangers FC team that won the Africa Cup Winners’ Cup in 1977.

He was nicknamed ‘Chairman’ for his authority on the field as a central defender.

Thr former Rangers player was the captain when the then Green Eagles lifted the African Cup of Nations in 1980.
