Prince Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye has been named as the new Olowo of Owo on Friday, Concise News understands.

This online news medium understands that the Olowo-elect got 14 votes out of 15 votes during the electoral process done at the Olowo’s palace, in Owo, Ondo State.

It was gathered that the votes were cast senior Omo-Olowos (kingmakers) with Ogunoye’s emergence coming about four months after the death of Oba Folagbade Olateru-Olagbegi.

Ogunoye in his reaction, lauded the development as well as the electoral process and promised to keep and promote the traditions of his people.

He also promised to work with all stakeholders, including other contestants, in tackling issues affecting the community.
