A former Flying Eagles coach John Obuh has said making use of the ball is a sure way for Nigeria to win Algeria at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Super Eagles will take on Algeria on Sunday in a semi-final clash at the 2019 edition of the continental showpiece.

Nigeria defeated South Africa 2-1 on Wednesday to setup a showdown with the 1990 winners who beat Ivory Coast on penalties.

Speaking ahead of the game, Obuh told Channels TV that to claim the win, Nigeria should not give away the ball cheaply.

He also noted that the team should play the same way they did against the Bafana Bafana and shut out the Fennecs.

In addition, he called on forward Ahmed Musa to be a bit selfish with the ball when he outpaces an opponent.

Obuh counselled him to know when to shoot the ball, cut into the defence or pass to another player.
