The Presidency has noted that it did not suspend the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP) contrary to speculation in many quarters. This assertion came from the Senior Policy Adviser (Agriculture Interventions Coordination) in the Office of the Vice President Andrew Kwasari in Abuja on Tuesday.

2. Arewa Pastors Warn FG Against Back-door Policy On Ruga Settlements

A northern Christian group Arewa Christians and Indigenous Pastors Association has cautioned the Federal Government to desist from any secret plot to establish Ruga settlements for Fulani herders across Nigeria. The National Chairman of ACIPA, Rev Luke Shehu, in a statement warned that any attempt by the government to hand over indigenous land to Fulani herders would be met with stiff opposition.

3. Suspected Shiite Members Shoot Three Policemen At NASS

Protesting members of the Shiite group have reportedly shot three policemen on duty at the National Assembly, Concise News reports. One of the policemen was rushed to the National Assembly clinic around 1.55p.m. The protesters also burnt some cars during the protest.

4. 14 Edo Lawmakers Urge NASS To Take Over Troubled House Of Assembly

Fourteen lawmakers tied to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from Edo State on Tuesday stormed the National Assembly to demand proper inauguration of Edo Assembly by Governor Godwin Obaseki. Led by Comrade Peter Akpatason and Julius Ihonvbere, the lawmakers moved a motion asking the National Assembly to take over the running of Edo Assembly.

5. Aisha Speaks On Governorship Ambition

Ex-Minister for Women Affairs and Social Development Aisha Alhassan has said that she might not be destined to be governor of Taraba state, northeast Nigeria. Concise News understands that Alhassan, who ran for the highest office in Taraba on the platform of the United Democratic Party (UDP) in the 2019 general election, visited the state Governor, Darius Ishaku, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Monday.
