A female governorship aspirant under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Princess Iye Grace Adejoh has revealed that Kogi State has found itself in an emergency situation that needed a woman to rescue it, saying that there could be no better time for a female governor than now. Concise News gathered that Princess Grace is a graduate of Chemistry Education of the University of Ilorin. She lamented that the democratic structure in Kogi State has been destroyed over the time. Suspected Thugs Storm APC Secretariat Ahead Of Protest, Harass Journalists

The Abuja police command thwarted a major crisis on Monday as some suspected hoodlums from Kogi protested at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Federal Capital Territory. Some loyal political thugs to the Kogi State Governor, Yahya Bello, show up at the secretariat in the early morning and assaulted journalists at the scene. According to Punch, the thugs, who came on a tip-off that some people were storming there to stage a protest against the state Governor’s interest, became enraged on sighting journalists. Kogi Governorship: 20 Aspirants Condemn Indirect Primaries

Twenty governorship aspirants in Kogi have kicked against the indirect primary adopted by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the governorship election in the state. In a letter addressed to the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, the forum warned that the indirect primary adopted by the party would have a serious negative consequence on the victory of the party in the state. Read more here.
