Kano Crisis: Abdulmumini Jubrin Fires Ganduje’s Loyalists

The ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) Kano State chapter, is currently entrapped in crisis following alleged moves by a House of Representative’s member, Abdulmumini Jibrin has switch the leadership of the party in his Bebeji and Kofa constituency.

Jibrin who was elected into the House on Representation under the platform of the APC, who was said to have been bitter over the rejections of his House Majority leadership candidate, Aminu Sule Goro by Governor Ganduje for Alhassan Ado Doguwa.

The House of Rep member has shown bitterness over the election of Doguwa as Majority Leader, despite his efforts in securing the victory of the Speaker, Femi Bajabiamila.

Reacting with action, Jubrin carried out a ‘swift coup’ against all Govr Ganduje’s loyalist in his Bebeji/Kofa Constituency by purposely appointing new leadership.

Meanwhile, those removed were said to have coherently gone against Jibrin’s decision and staged a protest to the office of the APC State Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas in Kano on Tuesday.

Speaking with the protesters, Abbas told them that nobody could remove them from their seats, insisting that they remain the legally elected chairmen of the party in their respective localities.

According to a reliable source, the that the removal of the two chairmen of Bebeji and Kofa by Jibrin was a minor move calculated to create serious problems in Kano APC.
