Concise News understands that a 6.4 magnitude quake hit the same region on Thursday at a depth of nearly 11km.

“This is an earthquake sequence,” seismologist Dr Lucy Jones said at a press conference.

She said there was a 10% chance of a similar or even larger quake following in the next week.

But Dr Jones said it was not likely the quake would trigger shocks on other fault lines.
