Concise News reports that the Arsenal forward scored Nigeria’s 128th goal in Nations Cup history as Gernot Rohr’s men booked a place in the quarter-finals by recording their 54th victory in 90 AFCON matches.
China-based marksman Odion Ighalo produced a man-of-the-match performance by netting a brace and providing Iwobi with a delicious assist to help Nigeria overcome the Indomitable Lions who had taken a 2-1 lead into the break.
The three-time African champions will meet the winners of the match between hosts Egypt and South Africa, who play later on Saturday, in the last eight.
After the match, Arsenal celebrated their forward with the tweet: “Our #NaijaBoy fires @NGSuperEagles into the #AFCON2019 quarter-finals. Congratulations, @alexiwobi”

Ighalo had given Nigeria the lead in the 19th minute, before Cameroon turned the game around towards the end of the first half, with Stéphane Bahoken equalising and Clinton Njié making it 2-1 in favour of the Central Africans.
Nigeria responded in the second half with Ighalo, again, finding the back of the net in the 63rd minute, before setting up Iwobi for the brilliant finish that finished off the Cameroonians.
