EFCC Shares Photos Of Seized Jewellery From Diezani Alison-Madueke

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has put out pictures of some pieces of jewellery and a customized gold iPhone belonging to Diezani Alison-Madueke.

This is coming after Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, today Friday, July 5th ordered the  former petroleum minister to temporarily forfeit jewellery valued at about $40m to the federal government.

Concise News understands that Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), had seized the items comprising wristwatches, necklaces, bracelets, bangles, earrings, as well as a gold iPhone from a premises belonging to Allison-Madueke.

The Commission, in its application, said the pieces of jewellery were obtained with proceeds of unlawful activities by the former Minister.

The order followed an application filed by the Ibrahim Magu led Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The anti-graft agency believes the luxury items were acquired with proceeds from ”unlawful activities”.
