Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has said that he is only human and will bounce back following his mistake against Madagascar on Sunday in an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) match in Egypt.

Concise News reports that Nigeria lost to the Barea two nil and Balogun was clearly at fault for the first goal. This left many Nigerians fuming.

But the Brighton & Hove Albion man has now addressed the incident, accepting responsibility for his actions.

He writes on his verified Twitter handle: “You can love me or either leave me, but I’m only human & I make mistakes. Try not to hold that against me tho. I accept full responsibility for my actions, so if ya’ll expect me to be perfect, I apologize for being human. No mistake’s too great to recover and bounce back.”
