Kano state governor Abdullahi Ganduje has ordered the State Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate allegation that a Gorilla swallowed N6.8m in Kano Zoological Gardens.

Concise News had reported that a finance officer in the zoo said the gorilla “sneaked into their office” and carted away the money before swallowing it.

“The issue is under investigations for now and I don’t want to say anything on the matter, many journalists have come to meet me but I don’t want to talk anything. What I can confirm is that money is missing,” managing director of the zoo, Umar Kobo, had told the BBC Pidgin.

As a result, Governor Ganduje, this news medium has learned, asked the Commission to look into the immediate and remote cause of the allegation, as he directed the anti-corruption agency unravel everything surrounding it.
