Diverse reactions have greeted the 11 counts charge levelled against singer Naira Marley by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Naira Marley whose real name is Azeez Fashola was arrested by the EFCC alongside three others over alleged involvement in internet fraud better known in local parlance as “Yahoo Yahoo.”

His friends have been released on bail but Marley, according to the anti-corruption body, has some incriminating items and has been charged to court.

Concise News understands that Naira Marley, based on the charges, risks seven years in prison if found guilty.

The charges with suit number FHC/L/178C/19 were filed before a Lagos State High Court on Thursday.

While reacting to the development, several Nigerians took to Twitter to mock the singer with others accusing the EFCC of not going out against politicians who allegedly looted the country.
