Nigerians have taken to Twitter to call out comic actor ‘Okon’ for releasing another video to maintain his position on the recent allegation of rape of commercial sex workers in Abuja.

The actor had put out the second video after several Nigerians had blasted him for defending the policemen accused of raping the workers.

The actor said they should be charged with stealing and not rape, because, acceding to him, the commercial sex workers had already lost their dignity.

Nigerian radio personality Toolz Oniru said the movie actor gave a sad and ill-advised opinion.

She wrote, “So sad and ill-advised. Never OK to joke about rape”

Also, another Twitter user wrote, “Actor Okon should be the face for #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek he is sick and showing symptoms of #mentalillness that video has shown beyond reasonable doubts that he needs help and needs it urgently. Please if you are around him rush him to the hospital HE IS SICK!”

Another user identified as @ogakelly said, “The way I see it, Okon is deliberately refusing to see the light.
The prostitutes will give CONSENT because you have either paid OR will pay.

“Once you forcefully have sex with them it is RAPE. The issue of self WORTH or DIGNITY doesn’t even play in this context.

“Okon is WRONG”

@IamUncleMark tweeted, “Today the 16th of May 2019, I nolonger find Okon funny.

“Its now obvious his stupidity in movies is not scripted.

“Man is Madt”

While @Kayode_ani wrote, “Okon has no shame. And really, it shouldn’t surprise anybody that a rape apologist has no shame.

“It says a lot that this fool thinks that women getting abducted by police & raped is a joke. Even more telling is the fact that he thinks it isn’t rape if you rape sex workers. Trash.”
