Father Of Five Commits Suicide In Ekiti

The Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on Wednesday rescued a man whose name was not given from committing suicide at the Third Mainland Bridge.

Concise News understands that the man who is a Chartered Accountant was rescued while attempting to jump into the Lagos from the bridge.

The RRS which announced this on Twitter noted that the man has been handed over to the police following a chat.

“This man, (name withheld) was prevented from jumping off 3MB into the Lagoon this morning,” the tweet read.

“We had a little chat with him and he revealed that he’s a graduate and a chartered accountant. He was handed over to Adekunle Police Station, who have contacted his family. #TheGoodGuys.”

This news medium understands that there has been an increase in the rate of suicide lately among Nigerians.

Also, a member of a church in Abuja recently took his life with many Nigerians calling for a campaign to halt the ugly trend.
