UTME: I Don’t Want My High Score Wasted, JAMB Top Scorer Cries Out

The highest scorer in the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Ekene Franklin Ezenala, has expressed worry over the possibility of him not gaining admission into the University of Lagos (UNILAG) because of his age.

The 15-year-old Ekene, even after learning that UNILAG will not offer him admission due to his age, is still hoping that something can be done to enable him secure university admission.

The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Education, Mrs Adebunmi Adekanye, has congratulated Master Ezeunala Ekene Franklin, an SS3 pupil of Meiran Community Secondary School, Meiran, for making the best score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) 2019.

Concise News reports that Franklin, 15 scored 347 in the examination. A breakdown of the result showed that he had 78 in English, 91 in Mathematics, 86 in Physics and 92 in Chemistry.

JAMB 2019: Nigerians Pray For UTME Candidate Who ‘Drank Sniper’

Several Nigerians are optimistic of the recovery of a 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidate Segun who attempted to take his life on Sunday over the poor result.

Concise News had earlier reported about Segun’s grief as he appeared to have taken a Sniper Insecticide.

After several tries, Segun was later found alive receiving treatment in Oluwafayokemi hospital, Ijebu Ode, according to a Twitter user.

Meanwhile, some concerned Nigerians have taken it upon themselves to keep praying for Segun until he fully recovers.
