Hazard set to be a Merengue
Real Madrid are set to officially announce the signing of Eden Hazard from Chelsea after the Europa League final in Baku.
Hazard has long been linked with a move to the La Liga giants and appeared to say goodbye to Stamford Bridge last week.
Chelsea face Arsenal in the Europa League final on May 29 and French outlet L’Equipe report Real will confirm the signing of the Belgian after that match.
It is claimed the fee will be around €100million (£86m) with Real boss Zinedine Zidane keen to sign the forward.
Coutinho to Chelsea on?
Chelsea want Philippe Coutinho to replace Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgium international is keen to join Real Madrid this summer and he’s told the Blues he has made his mind up.
And Canada Ser claims Chelsea are the only Premier League team to show interest in Coutinho despite reports Man United are eyeing the playmaker.
However, Chelsea’s move for Coutinho depends on the Blues’ transfer ban.
Chelsea are trying to appeal their two-window ban which was upheld last week.
United want James
United are keen on Daniel James and feel that at 21, he has the potential to become a star in the Premier League.
James is also being watched by a number of other clubs, including Everton, Newcastle and Leeds, and Swansea hopes this will drive up his transfer fee.
They know they must cash in on James this summer because he has a year left on his contract and has rejected their attempts to persuade him to agree on new terms.
Swansea wants the bidding to start at £15million and hope they will end up receiving more for James.
Barca could scoop Griezmann
Barcelona are expected to sign Antoine Griezmann.
Barcelona wanted Griezmann a year ago, with the Atletico Madrid star their No 1 transfer target for last summer.
However, despite flirting with a move to Catalonia, the France international ultimately opted to stay in the capital, announcing his decision to stay in an online video that angered Nou Camp chiefs.
And Spanish publication Cadena Ser say that Atletico now believes Griezmann will jump ship to Barcelona this summer.
It is claimed Atletico believe the World Cup winner has already reached an agreement with the Catalan club.
Pochettino to Juventus?
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino would be perfect for Juventus, Andrea Pirlo claims.
“He has got the identity of a Juventus coach,” Pirlo says.
“He’s a modern coach and he’s been in the Premier League for a long time.
“He has also coached in Spain so he’s got a broad range of experience.”
Sanchez could quit United for Italy
Alexis Sanchez looks certain to leave Manchester United this summer and Juventus may be his next destination after his agent met with the Serie A champions. Sanchez has endured a dreadful spell at Old Trafford since arriving in January 2018, scoring just five foals in 45 appearances across all competitions. He has scarcely been seen in the Premier League this season as he struggles for form and fitness, making 20 appearances and scoring just once. The Chilean is thought to be earning around £400,000-a-week at United and given the pitiful return for this investment, the Red Army are looking to move him on this summer.
Juve might be the club to take on the misfiring 30-year-old after CalcioMercato reported that Sanchez’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, has met with sporting director Fabio Paratici.
Arsenal signing backed
Arsenal have been told to take a risk and look at signing Ryan Fraser from Bournemouth by former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop.
Hislop told ESPN FC: “I don’t think he’d cost an awful lot.
“I don’t think he’d be in that £40m bracket.
“I think Arsenal can get him at a reasonable price.
“When you consider the company he’s in, only Eden Hazard has more assists than Fraser in the Premier League this season.
“I’d take a chance on him at the right price.”
Bale wanted out
Although Gareth Bale’s agent has spoken to Sky Sports News and has said his client wants to stay with Real Madrid, with Zidane leaving him out of his squad to face Real Sociedad on Sunday night in the penultimate game of the season, it is believed that the Welshman is wanted out.
