Ganduje Reacts To Court Order Stopping Break-up Of Kano Emirate

The District Head of Bebeji Local Government Area of the Kano State, Haruna Sanusi, has resigned his appointment on Monday, Concise News reports.

This news medium understands that Sanusi’s decision followed the installation of heads of new Emirates by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and his loyalty to the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi.

He was said to have resigned on “health ground and recent changes in the emirate system.”

Kano State had recently created five new Emirates: Kano, Rano, Gaya, Karaye and Bichi with all Emirs having equal powers and on the same level with Sanusi.

The new heads include Aminu Bayero, son of the late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero and the pioneer Emir of the newly established Bichi Emirate.

The Emir of Gaya is Ibrahim Gaya; the Emir of Rano is Tafida Abubakar Ila while the Emir of Karaye is Ibrahim Abukakar ll.
