JAMB Candidates/Daily Post

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said that there is no need for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) 2019 candidates to go to any CBT centre or Cyber cafe to check their results.

Concise News reports that the examination body announced on Saturday to all candidates who sat for the 2019 UTME that the results have been released.

In one of their tweets on their verified Twitter handle, JAMB notes that candidates need not approach any centre to check their scores.

According to JAMB‘s handle, ‘candidates are to send RESULT to 55019 using the phone number they used to create a profile and their result would be sent to them.’

More than 1.8 million candidates sat for the 2019 UTME from April 11 to April 18. JAMB meanwhile did not release the results as early as many had expected, with candidates getting apprehensive.

The examination body had, however, explained that it wanted to first screen the entire candidates’ results to weed out those who were involved in any form of malpractice during the examination.
