1. No Human Being Can Influence Supreme Court Judgement – Acting CJN

The Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, on Thursday, said that no human being, living or dead, could influence the judgments of the Supreme Court. Festus Akande, the Director, Press and Information of the Supreme Court, quoted the acting CJN as saying this in a statement on Thursday.

2. President Buhari Extends Emefiele’s Tenure As CBN Governor

President Muhammadu Buhari has re-appointed the Governor of the Central Bank Of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele. The letter for his re-appointment was sent to the Senate on Wednesday and President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, read the letter on the floor shortly before the plenary was adjourned.
