Concise News had earlier reported that the “Am I Yahoo Boy” crooner was arrested in the early hours of Friday, May 10th.
EFCC made it known that he was arrested in relation to cyber crimes and advanced fee fraud.
Spokesman for the commission, Tony Orilade, in an interview with the Punch, said, “Yes, he is with us. He’s not the only person; he had some other persons also arrested alongside (him).”
Dee-One, who reacted via his Twitter handle, lauded the anti-graft agency for the arrest before adding that it would teach others some lessons.
“Kudos to @officialefcc on this one let’s learn to lead by example. Nigeria no be the USA… At least people go begin to learn a lesson from here,” he wrote.
