IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe has said he does not regret standing as surety for the leader of the banned Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, Concise News understands.

This online news medium had reported that Abaribe was one of those three sureties for the pro-Biafra leader when he was granted bail by High Court in Abuja in 2017.

Nnamdi Kanu later left the country after the Nigeria Army launched the Operation Python Dance in the South East in 2018, breaking his bail condition.

However, Abaribe who represents Abia South in the Senate has come to Nnamdi Kanu’s defence, saying he does not regret standing as his surety.

He wondered why the IPOB leader will stay back when his home was invaded and his life at risk.

This is as he said the pro-Biafra campaigner never bailed out on his followers, according to his interview with The Daily Avalon.
