The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has threatened to go on a nationwide shutdown in protest against Labour and Employment Chris Ngige.

Concise News understands that there is a rift between Ngige and the worker’s union following the latter’s refusal to assent to the workers’ choice of Comrade Frank Kokori as Chairman, National Insurance Trust Fund (NISTF).

On Wednesday, there was a protest by the workers in Abuja which later turned out to be bloody.

Some thugs came and attacked the workers with several of them sustaining varying degrees of injuries.
