About two months ago, officers of the Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) shot one Kolade Johnson while he was watching a Premier League tie in Lagos.

However, in a series of tweets on Monday, the NPF noted that some Nigerians dare its officers to shoot at them.

The tweet explained that such a statement is “provocative and an unnecessary call for war.”

It noted that a person who makes such comment do not know the mental state of the police officer he is issuing such challenge to.

“Oftentimes, you hear people say things like ‘shoot me if you can!” the tweet read.

“Note that this is a recipe for disaster! It is very provocative and an unnecessary call for war.

“So, please play safe, more so, as you do not know the state of mind of the officer concerned.”
