Concise News reports that Amaechi, who was a former governor of Rivers State, made this clarification during an interview on Channels Television breakfast programme, Sunrise Daily, on Tuesday.
He explains that his issues with Wike are due to the spate of insecurity in the state over the past four years.
According to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) member: “There is no war going on between Wike and I. It is like my friend (Godswill) Akpabio when we met the other day, I said it, we are not quarrelling.
“What is going on between Wike and me is the fact that he wants to run a second term. The fact is that he ran the first term in which people were killed.
“Today, he is accusing the army and not the police because they refused to take bribe from him.”
Also, the Minister states that during his administration as governor of the South-South state, he investigated and ensured the arrest of perpetrators of violence.
