A former Miss Uruguay winner Fatimih Davila Sosa has been reportedly found dead in a hotel room in Mexico City.
Concise News understands that Sosa, 31, who won the pageant in 2006, was found hanged and identified by the hotel’s officials in the bathroom of a guest room early on Thursday.
A Spanish-language newspaper revealed that the hotel where the beauty queen was found is located on Altadena street in Colonia Nápoles, Benito Juarez.
The officials disclosed that she had arrived in Mexico City on April 23 for a supposed job interview before the incident occurred.
Confirming her death, the prosecutor’s office said a homicide investigation had commenced.
After winning the national pageant, Davila Sosa went on to represent Uruguay in the 2006 Miss Universe pageant which took place in Los Angeles.
The model also competed at the 2008 Miss World.
