Obaseki Speaks On Fighting With Oshiomhole

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state has denied reports claiming he is at loggerheads with his predecessor Adams Oshiomhole.

Speaking at the Benin Airport, the governor described as fake news the reported rift with the national chairman of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over his second term ambition.

Concise News understands that Obaseki was returning from a one-month vacation.

According to him, Edo people should expect more “wake and see” as he had returned refreshed, feeling good, and ready to continue to deliver good governance.

It was learned that the Edo number one citizen, accompanied by his wife, Betsy, arrived the Benin airport at exactly 11.30am.

Among officials who received the governor were his deputy, Phillip Shaibu, Secretary to the state government, Osarodion Ogie, Edo State House of Assembly Speaker, Kabiru Adjoto and Chief of staff to the governor, Taiwo Akerele, and some APC leaders.
