The Federal Government has assured Nigerian workers that it is committed to uplifting the lives and leaving behind a legacy of service and a buoyant economy. Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen. Chris Ngige, disclosed this in a message to workers to commemorate the 2019 Workers’ Day celebration in Abuja on Tuesday. Ngige said it was due to President Muhammadu Buhari’s resolve to better the lives of Nigerian workers that he gave states bailout to pay salary and pension of their workers.
The National Assembly would transmit the approved 2019 Budget of N8.92trn to President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday. Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Hon.
