This news medium had on Saturday, April 27, reported that JAMB spokesman, Dr Fabian Benjamin, hinted that the Board would release the 2019 UTME results anytime this week.

“We are still screening but hopefully, anytime next week, the results will be ready,” he told the News Agency of Nigeria.

JAMB Results: How To Check 2019 UTME By Phone With Registration Number

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed that candidates who sat for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can check their results via their phones through a text message with a registration number

Concise News reports that the 2019 UTME took place from April 11 to April 18, with over 1.8 million candidates registering for it.Speaking on the release of the UTME results for 2019, JAMB’s Head of Media and Publicity, Fabian Benjamin, told candidates to start checking their results from Monday, April, 29th, 2019.

“We are still screening but hopefully, anytime next week, the results will be ready,” he told NAN on Saturday.

“Normally, results are expected to be out within 24 to 48 hours as obtained in previous examinations held in 2017 and 2018.

“However, the board does not want this to be business as usual. Hence the programmed delay, which is part of its deliberate effort to properly scrutinize, identify and address all forms of examination malpractice.

“The board will continue to act decisively with regards to any irregularity discovered even after results are released.”

2019 UTME: JAMB Conducts Examination For 200 Foreign Candidates

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) revealed that Over 200 candidates at the weekend sat for a foreign-based unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME).

Concise News gathered that the foreign-based examination was conducted for Nigerians abroad and citizens of other nationalities who want to study in Nigeria.

The examination was conducted in Ghana, United Kingdom, Cameroon, Benin Republic, Cöte d’Ivoire, South Africa and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The board said the UTME was conducted to give equal opportunity to Nigerians in Diaspora and foreigners who are desirous of acquiring qualitative tertiary education in Nigeria.

These were disclosed in the board’s weekly bulletin released to the media by its Head of Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday, in Abuja.

JAMB Finally Discloses Date To Release 2019 UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results would be ready from Monday, April 29.

Concise News learned that the examination body’s media aide, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday in Bwari, Abuja.

“We are still screening but hopefully, anytime next week, the results will be ready,” he said.

Fabian says, “Right now, we have just read from a major national daily that an ex-JAMB staff is about to be arraigned by the EFCC over an alleged diversion of about N100m belonging to the Board.

“Let me make it clear that this sad case was not during the tenure of the current JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede.

“In fact, one of the major guidelines of the current Board is total transparency and accountability, coupled with its open door policy,” Benjamin tells NAN.
