Gombe Easter Attack Victims Buried Amid Tears

The bodies of the youths killed during an Easter procession were on Saturday buried in Gombe, Gombe state, northeast Nigeria.

Nine corpses, comprising six boys and three girls, were laid at the funeral venue for burial.

The Brigade members were aged between 11 and 21.

They were members of Boys Brigade of ECWA Church in Bogo, Barunde, Tabra, and Madaki in the state.

Concise News understands that on 22 April a car driven by a member of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) ran into a gathering of youths.

Spokesperson for the police in Gombe, Mary Malum, had confirmed the death of 10 persons from the incident, comprising eight members of the Boys Brigade, the NSCDC officer, and his friend.

Charles Iliya, the deputy governor of Gombe State, and other CAN executives, Gombe State chapter, were present at the service.
