A Kwara based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Salman Shagaya Foundation, is set to embark on a solar light project, as part of the effort to halt the power challenges in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Concise News understands this in a statement by the NGO’s spokesman, Ibraheem Kolawole Abdullateef, that over 4,000 households across the state will benefits from the project.
The foundation, which was founded by a philanthropist, Sheriff Shagaya, revealed that the Solar Intervention Scheme (SIS) was engineered towards providing stable electricity and improves security, particularly at night, in some selected communities in the State.
Shagaya, appealed residents of beneficiary communities and other members of the public to give the solar light engineers the necessary support and cooperation when the project commenced so as to facilitates its speedy completion.
Recall that barely two weeks the foundation empowered over 600 Kwarans with N10,000 each for business grant.
