The Benue State Government on Monday enumerates Governor Samuel Ortom’s achievements as part of the events to mark his 58th birthday.

NAN reports that the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Information Communication Technology, Tahav Agerzua, in a statement says the governor deserves praise for his political sagacity.

He says, “Governor Ortom has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to All Progressives Congress; he has also defected from the APC to PDP. On each occasion, he won his elections.

“Ortom always win against all odds.”

Concise News reports that Ortom, who has been re-elected for a second term, was born on  April 23, 1961.

Agerzua lists some of the achievements of the governor as the Amnesty Programme, the enactment of the Anti-Opening Grazing Law, and the graduation of 200 medical doctors from Benue State University.

Also, he says the governor has completed 42 primary health care centres and the deputy governor’s office.

He adds, “Contractors have resumed work on 11 abandoned road projects. The  Oshigbudu-Obagaji and Zaki-Biam-Afia-Gbeji roads have been completed.”
