Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has congratulated Nigerian workers on the signing of the Minimum Wage Repeal and Reenactment Bill, 2019 into law.
Concise News had reported that President Muhammadu Buhari had on Thursday signed the bill into law and noted that the implementation will begin immediately.
While reacting to the news, Saraki took to his Twitter handle said the development is a good step in the right direction.
”I congratulate Nigerian workers on the assent of the N30,000 minimum wage into law,” Saraki noted.
”This reviewed wage, which is aimed at increasing the productivity of Nigerian workers, is a good step in the right direction for our nation’s workforce — who are the lifeblood of our dear country.”
