Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, the General Manager of Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK), says the Lagos government has planned a concert to mark Easter on 20 April.
Making this known in a statement, Adebiyi-Abiola said the event would enable citizens to share knowledge through digital games.
“Networking in the Modern Age would also afford private citizens from all walks of life the opportunity to network toward a resourceful society,” she said.
According to her, the concert is to bring together people in a tranquil environment to have a fun-filled Easter celebration.
“This is to break people’s social inhibition by creating an interactive platform where they could exhibit their innate talents to proffer solutions to socio-economic impediments bedeviling the society in a more relaxed environment,” the statement added.
“The concert will take place at Johnson Jakande Tinubu (JJT) Park, Alausa, Ikeja.
“The concert will hold simultaneously in most of the state’s recreational parks with tailored programmes designed to meet the needs of the locals residing within the axis.
“It is organised as part of the state government’s commitment to improve the social life of the citizenry by connecting them with opportunities inherent in the contemporary recreation and digital networking.
“The programme is another affirmation of government’s commitment to lead the way in exposing its citizens to the concurrent benefits of communal interaction.
“To also build a society that is sufficiently capable of dealing with social challenges that are likely to erupt as the world is constantly changing its face.”
