The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has restated that President Muhammadu Buhari must submit his West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) result to the election tribunal.
Concise News reports that Keyamo makes this known in a programme on Channels Tv on Sunday after being asked about the eligibility of President Muhammadu Buhari to contest the presidential election.
He said: “if you have occupied the public office for a reasonable length of time, you do not need a WAEC certificate to become president of Nigeria.”
Reacting to the claim, PDP in a statement on Monday through its spokesman Kola Ologbondiyan, who called on President Buhari to present his West African Examination Certificate (WAEC) to the presidential election petition’s tribunal.
The spokesman also called on Nigerians to note that by claiming that an aspirant does not need a WAEC certificate, but the ability to speak English, to contest for the office of the Presiden.
He added that the Buhari led administration, through Festus Keyamo, had finally admitted that the President does not have a WAEC certificate as he claimed in his INEC documentation.
The PDP, however, warmed APC’s Keyamo, to stop “insulting” the sensibility of Nigerians.
