Suspected Herdsmen kill Five In Benue Fresh Attack

The Benue Livestock Guards have banned a herdsman, Amandu Wakili, suspected to be the mastermind of recent attacks in the state, Concise News reports.

This online news medium understands that Wakili was arrested in one of the communities bordering the University of Agriculture Makurdi, Benue State while openly grazing his cattle.

Wakili confessed said he is working for one Alhaji Aliyu Tershaku who told him to return to the state and continue with grazing of cattle in spite of the Benue State Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches Establishment Law.

He noted that two of his fellow herders were with him ran away with their cattle while he was arrested and taken to Makurdi by men of the Livestock Guards.

This is as he noted that he came from Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa State with more herders set to move over to Benue State.
