It also said that “orderly trial has commenced and the preceding will bring out appropriate disciplinary action on him.”

The Force said that it “wishes to state that such behavioral pattern is not a true reflection of Nigeria Police Force especially under the leadership of Inspector General of police, Ag. IGP MA Adamu.”

Concise News earlier reported that a policeman confiscated a mobile phone belonging to a student of Delta State University for being ‘too expensive’.

In a purported video of the incident which went viral on the internet, an aggrieved policeman stopped a bus conveying students for a routine stop-and-search operation, but extended the search to the phones of the passengers, only to see one of them using an iPhone.

The visibly angry policeman then requested for the cost of the phone. The student replied N200k. This infuriated the policeman, who suspected that the boy could be doing something illegal.
